Ingredients
Scale
2 lbs of Sweet Potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes (Choose ones that are firm and free of blemishes)
2 tbsp of Olive Oil (Extra virgin for a richer flavor)
1 tsp of Fresh Thyme, finely chopped (Or dried thyme if fresh is unavailable)
1 tsp of Fresh Rosemary, finely chopped (Dried rosemary can be a substitute)
1/2 tsp of Salt (Adjust according to taste)
1/4 tsp of Black Pepper, freshly ground (For that perfect kick of spice)
Instructions
Preheat Oven
- Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C), setting the stage for perfect roasting.
Prepare Sweet Potatoes
- Peel your sweet potatoes using the vegetable peeler and cut them into 1-inch cubes with the sharp knife for even roasting.
Season
- In the mixing bowl, toss the sweet potato cubes with olive oil, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Add the chopped thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper, and mix well to distribute the flavors evenly.
Arrange on Baking Sheet
- Spread the seasoned sweet potatoes in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they have enough space to roast evenly.
Roast
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for 25-30 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender and have a golden-brown exterior. Halfway through, give them a stir for even cooking.
Serve
- Once done, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. The Oven-Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Thyme and Rosemary are ready to be enjoyed as a delightful side dish or a healthy snack.
